Our History
Established on July 13th, 1948, Marple Social & Forces Club has been at the heart of the local community for over 75 years. What started as a gathering place for service personnel and local residents has evolved into a vibrant social hub while maintaining its traditional charm and welcoming atmosphere.
Facilities & Entertainment
Our club offers a comprehensive range of entertainment and sporting facilities to suit all interests:
- Two professional-grade darts boards for casual games and league matches
- Two well-maintained pool tables
- Multiple TVs throughout the venue, including a big screen for major sporting events
- Full coverage of TNT and Sky Sports for all your sporting needs
- Regular live music performances at least twice monthly
- Well-stocked bar offering a selection of beers, wines, spirits, and classic bar snacks
Entertainment is at the heart of what we do, with live music performances, special events, and celebrations throughout the year. Whether you're here for a quiet drink or a lively evening of entertainment, there's always something happening at the club.
Location & Access
Perfectly situated at Top Lock in Marple, Cheshire, our club enjoys a prime position with picturesque canal-side views. We offer ample outdoor seating for those warm summer evenings and convenient on-site parking for our guests.
Membership & Visitors
While we operate primarily as a members' club, we welcome non-members to experience our facilities. Members enjoy preferential drink prices and access to special events. If you're interested in becoming a member, please ask at the bar for details.
